Jaw Slimming

What is Jaw Slimming?

Jaw slimming injections are non-surgical cosmetic treatments to reduce the size and prominence of the masseter muscles, which are located at the angle of the jaw. These injections are primarily used for aesthetic purposes to give a slimmer, more feminine jawline particularly from a frontal view, but can also have functional benefits - particularly helpful for conditions such as Bruxism (teeth grinding) and tension headaches. At Sinaesthetics we are using the newest and safest products, which have now revolutionised our approach reducing the onset of action of jaw slimming injections to within a few days and giving longer lasting results up to 6 months.

    • Slims and contours a wide or square jawline

    • Softens the lower face for a more delicate look

    • Reduces the size of enlarged masseter muscles

    • Helps with teeth grinding (bruxism) by weakening overactive jaw muscles

    • Relieves jaw tension and muscle tightness

    • Alleviates jaw pain and discomfort, particularly from overuse

    • Improves symptoms of TMJ dysfunction (e.g. clicking, locking, aching)

    • May reduce tension headaches caused by jaw clenching

    • Protects teeth and dental work from excessive bite force

    • In some cases, can improve bite balance and jaw symmetry

  • While generally considered safe, treatments carry some potential side effects, which will be discussed on a personalised basis.

Adhering to aftercare instructions is essential to minimise risks. Clients should avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

  • We use a revolutionary injection giving noticeable results typically by 3-4 days, and can last for up to six months. To maintain the best outcomes, treatments are recommended every three to six months.

  • Whilst jaw slimming injections are generally unrivalled, alternatives may include:

    • Ultrasound-based treatments (e.g. Ultherapy)
      – Non-invasive skin tightening that may help lift and define the jawline.

    • Radiofrequency (RF) treatments
      – Stimulates collagen to improve jawline definition and skin firmness.

    • Surgical jawline contouring
      – Permanent reduction of bone or soft tissue in the jaw; more invasive with longer recovery.
